Introducing Livin’ Local Week!
The 8th annual North Heights Porchfest, a neighborhood-wide celebration of Joplin’s best music, food, and art, is coming up on Saturday, October 5th — and we want to include all Joplin small businesses in the action.
So we’re turning the week before the event (September 28 through October 4) into Livin’ Local Week: a challenge for Joplin residents to enjoy all the amazing locally-owned food, shopping, and entertainment our city has to offer.
Here’s how it works: Make a Porchfest-themed special event, item, or sale at your business, and we’ll cross-promote it on our social media feeds. That’s it! There’s no cost to you. We just want to grow the buzz for local business and talent that Porchfest has created.
Need some ideas? Last year, The Bruncheonette and Blackstone Gastropub made special dishes. Frosted Cakerie made music-themed cookies. This year, Chaos Brewing is making a Porchfest-themed beer!
